in connection with the launch of the warp & weft plaid, i hosted an event on paper weaving at illums bolighus.

there are three basic weaving structures, and the plaid is woven in one of them, called twill. we worked with an enlarged version of this specific technique using paper strips to better understand the movement of the thread.
using the color palette from the collection as a starting point, participants could weave their own small artwork to take home.
